Underwater photographers refer to a kind of shot as being close-focus, wide-angle (CFWA) or close-up, wide-angle (CUWA). To do it on land, you use
a wide-angle lens and get very close to a foreground subject to see intricate detail while maintaining depth of field on the far end where a mountain or big cloud might be.
