The water flow over Hayden Falls varies considerably depending upon the rainfall and the snow melt, as is the case with most waterfalls. On this October morning in 2010 the weather had been quite dry for a period of time and there was zero flow over the 25-foot high falls. I have photographed this area when the flow was a minor stream, a nice medium-full flow, a raging flow complete with spray and mist and a totally frozen wall of ice. Returning to a favorite spot under all conditions and at different seasons usually rewards the photographer with great photo opportunities.
