Blackwater Falls State Park is a gem of a location in any season, but in fall I love it best. The color drenched steep terrain is simply gorgeous. There aren't many places inside this park that have a view to the east for sunrise, with the exception of Pendleton Point. So I headed there for sunrise. However, this scene in the opposite direction took my breath away as I was waiting for the sun to crest the horizon. A thick fog fills the canyon, highlighting the beautiful fall color and the pinks and blues in the sky.
