Take Interstate 70 West from Denver to Glenwood Springs. Head south on Colorado Highway 133 for 44 miles and then turn left onto County Road 12/Kebler Pass Road (this road is closed in winter).
Colorado is well known for its fall colors in the high country, especially in the Gunnison National Forest surrounding the mountain town of Crested Butte. Kebler Pass, found in this area, has the largest stand of aspens in the U.S. and is a popular destination for professional and amateur photographers in fall. This picture takes a different perspective on that large aspen grove at the peak of color.
