It was raining at my house four hours away from Dolly Sods but I got wind that there might be some snowfall in the higher elevations of West Virginia. I took a chance and hopped in the truck and drove through mostly rain until I reached the Blackwater Falls State Park area and the rain began to turn to snow. By the time I reached the Bear Rocks Preserve in Dolly Sods, the snow was falling at a good rate. It was early October so the wild blueberry bushes were still covered in red leaves. There was small break in the clouds right at sunset which added even more color to an already beautiful scene.
