Assignment #46: Graphic Compositions
Photography, at its core, is the arrangement of geometric shapes within a rectangle. When you disconnect yourself from the subject and think of the scene as basic shapes in the frame, you can simplify, isolate and create a dynamic and graphic image. For this week’s Assignment, submit photographs that show graphic, simple, dynamic compositions. Think about arranging basic shapes in the frame. Pay attention to the corners and edges and reduce distractions and clutter in the shot. Enter by midnight, December 14. —Christopher Robinson, Editor
