Weekly photo assignments from the editors of Outdoor Photographer Magazine
This week’s assignment is inspired by a recent Tip Of The Week by Russ Burden, where he encourages photographers to slow down, look down and zoom in for a unique perspective. Instead of dramatic landscapes, we want to focus on intimate shots of nature by shooting Groundscapes. A patch of wildflowers, a moss-covered rock, a cluster of mushrooms, a collection of shells on the beach—these are just a few ideas of groundscapes that can be found just outside your door. Let’s see your best shots. Deadline is June 22 at midnight.—Kristan Ashworth, Associate Editor
