Assignment #71: High Contrast
Last weekend I went for an early-morning hike in the canyons north of Malibu, Calif. Steep slopes covered with small brush flank the trails that meander along streams lined with large trees. As idyllic as these places are, they can be tough to photograph because of the high contrast between the bright skies and the heavily shaded paths. For this week’s assignment, submit your best photographs of high-contrast scenes. Enter by midnight, July 19. —Christopher Robinson, Editor
