Taken the day after a workshop with David Muench. I was really tired and stayed an extra day to rest. I went out and decided to just goof off and just shoot whatever I saw, no tripod allowed. These rabbitbrush flowers were by the side of the road in front of some cottonwood trees, and the sun was shining behind them. I initially tried shooting the leaves but they were too far away, so I shot the backlit flowers with the yellow leaves behind them, then turned the clarity down in Lightroom so there would be no definition of the leaves, only a yellow glow.
