I rose early to drive the 1-1/2hrs needed to get to the valley. Walking along the banks of the Merced to a location I knew from my years spent in Yosemite Valley I found the composition I wanted. Cathedral rock is my favorite of all the icons in the valley and I wanted to show it off in the best possible way.
