Off Highway 64 east of Cary
The fog that day was very thick and promised to be around for most of the morning, so I went out to the lake to get some photos to add to my continuing project about Jordan Lake. I saw the floats on the water and found the scene mysterious and waited for quite a while for the three gulls to be on the poles at the same time and visible since the visibility continually changed; sometimes the last pole was obscured or the trees behind were visible. The yellow floats seemed to be floating in air rather than on water made it more interesting.
In the winter, a huge flock of sea gulls over a hundred miles from the ocean were at Jordan Lake on a very foggy day. Some were perched atop poles at the beach area where the yellow floats marked the area for swimming.
