Garden of the Gods is best accessed from 30th Street on the west side of Colorado Springs. The moon is best accessed via NASA! :)

For this image I combined a photo of the full moon which I made in August, 2011 with one I took of the sandstone monoliths in Garden of the Gods in April, 2010. I used the camera's built-in fill flash and added a Tristar circular polarizing filter for the Garden picture. After post processing in Lightroom 4 and Photoshop CS5 I then converted the final image to black and white.
