You could fly to Leh from Delhi. There are about 4-5 flights daily (Very early in the morning as planes can not land after mid morning due to storng winds and mountains. After acclimatizing for aprox 24 hrs (Altitude) you take a 6 hour drive to the lake via Chang La pass.
Carry very dark glasses, Sun block and warm clothing, even in summer.
One of my most Memorable shots because when I reached the spot, I couldn't believe my eyes. This is one of the coloure you get to see during the day at Pongong Tso (Lake) one of the worlds highest salt water lakes stretching to almost 130 kms long between India and China. This was shot on the Indian side.
