My Return To Twilight’s Arrival, Mount Rainier National Park

Description

The south side of Mount Rainier is fairly accessible during winter months, but everything else is pretty hard to reach unless you want to do a multi-day ski. For this reason, it's always a special occasion of sorts when I'm able to return to the north side as the trails melt out. I made this image on my first trip of the year to Rainier's north side. It was early summer, when the sun rises and sets further north than during winter months, creating this deep evening twilight that filtered across Rainier's northern aspect.
