I had woken up early to go out and shoot the sunrise. It was overcast and rainy, but I still headed out anyway. It was my last morning in Grand Teton National Park, so I wanted to shoot no matter what the conditions. As I chose a spot, it started to clear a bit. I'm glad I waited it out because the color did not disappoint! Before the sun came above the horizon, the first light painted the clouds an amazing pink. The sky coupled with the blooming Mule's Ear and the Teton Range as a backdrop made for a great shot. It was an explosion of color! It only lasted a few minutes, and then it was gone. I was very glad that I didn't let the overcast conditions stop me from going out that morning. You just never know what the light might do!
