Drive north on Route 24 from Capital Reef, past Goblin Valley, and then east on I-70. Travel south on US-191 to reach Arches National Pk., just 5 miles north of Moab.
This is an absolutely incredible park, unlike any I have seen. As a photographer, you will want to spend many many hours here, and still not find that to be enough. With nearly 2000 arches and structures, you need to bring many memory cards.
A desert area of rock pinnacles, windows and arches on the Colorado Plateau just north of Moab; and is 115 sq. miles. The mostly red-colored limestone has been eroded into unusual shapes, including Broken Arch, Delicate Arch, Devils Garden and Courthouse Towers; just to name a few.
