On a trip west of me, I discovered an old town called Buffalo Gap. It was like stepping back in time; circa 1800s of tough yet simpler times. With most windmills off in the distance, I was elated to find one to get really close to. Rarely does one see a wooden based windmill any longer, making this one even more special for me. Had taken a few shots of it, but this up close capture struck a cord within; focusing on the workhorse that used to bring water up, not the surroundings.
