This is a Panoramic made up of 4 pictures. This is a location I’ve been working the last few years. The timing is critical for sunflowers. I found myself traveling to this spot most every day as the sun flowers started to bloom. I was plagued by wind and stark blue says. I continued my pilgrimages in the morning and afternoon looking for the right light. I finally got the light I was looking for. This was taken just after a storm went through. I stood in the rain for several hours before I got this. The height of sunflowers posed a particular problem. Their height makes them particularly susceptible to wind. They also pose a a problem composing with a tripod. They’re taller than most tripods. To get above the sunflowers I had to fold my tripod legs together. This is something I would never recommend. There was no wind at all. The detail turned out fine. The detail has stood up to 40 inch wide prints with no problem.
