The hike started in the morning with clear blue skies. But hiking down from Goodwin Lake below Jackson Peak, it began to rain, with thunder and lightning. We were hurrying down to avoid getting caught in the storm, came out of a stand of trees and turned a corner to see the view in the picture--A very strong monsoon front coming across the valley below, with a slope of wildflowers in the foreground and the Tetons in the background. I didn't have my tripod, so shot handheld.
