Weekly photo assignments from the editors of Outdoor Photographer Magazine
This week’s assignment was inspired by my good friend and nature photographer, Budd Riker. He has been experimenting with Lensbaby creative-effects lenses, which can generate some remarkable and interesting selective-focus images. You don’t need to use an accessory lens to explore selective focus. Shooting with the aperture wide open, using tilt-shift lenses, and even postprocessing techniques can generate the effect. For this week’s Assignment, send in your selective-focus shots. Entry deadline extended to midnight, August 16. —Christopher Robinson, Editor
