Description
On the return trip after hiking the Coldwater Lake loop in the Mt. St. Helens area, the sun had started to set. I had noticed this view on my way out, but it was late morning and the reflection and highlighting on the peak of the mountain were almost non existent. Upon return the sun was setting. What a difference the evening lighting made. I shot a few frames without a filter, but then added a polarizer and it really defined the image.
