Often I photograph Garden of the Gods as it is close to my house. On 6 May 2015 I was driving around the Garden and an afternoon storm began to form. The only camera I had with me was my Droid Turbo. I had forced myself to try this on a few of the rock formations but the rain began to fall and I was heading for home when it briefly cleared. I drove up to the Mesa Road overlook and was happy to find some interesting light on Kissing Camels Rock with some clouds parting over a snow capped Pikes Peak. Having a small sensor camera I did not feel such a "grandscape" would turn out but was surprised when I made this CUWA frame of the scene. The little 21 megapixel machine seemed to capture the image quite well. These cameras continue to improve and it is worthwhile to keep one with you at all times. I think that they are probably devoid of an OLPF filter which helps their resolution.
