I frequent the Stanislaus National Forest quite often and over the years have driven on many of the forest service roads throughout the Forest. There is one particular creek I went to in the middle of the summer of 2006 called Bourland Creek. It is usually somewhat of a lazy creek in July but fortunately there were a couple of ponds with swirling water moving in and around the small boulders. At the time I really just thought the setting was peaceful so I stopped and took several shots of the scene. It wasn't until later when viewing the photo on my laptop did I realized what I had really captured...an angel relaxing in the creek. It has become one of my favorites.
