When 36 bears get together in one fishing hole there is bound to be some disputes over who gets the best fishing spots. That was the case when I was at McNeil River State Game Sanctuary in Alaska. We had 36 bears one day and the falls were getting crowded. This pair of bears both wanted the same fishing spot along the side of the river and decided a very vocal discussion was the way to determine who would have the spot. It is hard to capture the sounds of a place as amazing as McNeil Falls. The bears grunt, the bald eagles squawk and the river rushes over the large rocks in the river. This shot helped me with the vision of how to capture those sounds by showing the bears discussing the fishing hole.
