I always like how the sand tells a story. Whether animal or human foot prints or ripples caused by the wind, nothing gets by unnoticed. I took this picture at South Coyote Buttes, Arizona. I camped in the area for several days scouting out photographic opportunities. It was late in the day and the shadows where becoming longer as the golden hour set in. The human footprints where an unwanted element at first. If I have trouble composing a picture with unwanted elements I try to embrace them. Instead of placing the unwanted element all the way to the edge of the frame I include it boldly. In this case, the human footprints where the unwanted element. I embraced the footprints and found it added to the sands story.
