Death Valley is in the California desert about two hours north of Las Vegas.
A total of 408 30-second images were captured using the internal interval timer on the Nikon D750. The best meteors were isolated and added to a single image to show exactly where in the sky they were captured by the camera. No meteors were moved, no additional ones were added.
This composite of Geminid meteors over Death Valley sand dunes was captured from 1:30 am - 5:15 am on the peak night of the Geminid meteor shower in December. I'll be bringing photographers to the park for this event starting December 13 this year.
