Weekly photo assignments from the editors of Outdoor Photographer Magazine
Some of the most unique natural features of the American landscape are slot canyons. These narrow fissures offer incredible lighting and startling looks across the strata of the soft red rock. Rains and runoff send torrents of water into parts of the southwest where it cuts through the rock. Photography in the slot canyons can be dangerous, so be aware of the conditions and consult with authorities prior to climbing into one. I’ll be looking at this Assignment gallery for images to publish in the magazine. Show us your best from the slot canyons. Enter by midnight, February 8. -Christopher Robinson, Editor
