Assignment #68: Spot Of Color
One of the classic color compositions is the spot of color. Think of a scene that’s largely monochrome or just flat-looking but with a single brightly colored element. Examples of this in nature are yellow aspen leaves of a solitary tree set against all brown trunks or a solitary red cardinal in a bleak winter landscape. For this week’s assignment, send your best “spot of color” photographs. Enter by midnight, June 21. —Christopher Robinson, Editor
