Each year the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens presents a beautiful display of tulips to bring in the Spring season. I always enjoy visiting the zoo to see what photo opportunities may present itself. One composition that I like to look for is a tulip that stands alone among tulips of another color. I found this beautiful yellow tulip that stood out higher than the rest of the tulips around it. I positioned myself at eye level to capture the tulip which stood out above the rest. Interestingly enough the one tulip that was taller than the rest was of a different color as the surrounding tulips were orange and the background contained a section of yellow tulips. I find the colors complement each other very well and was very pleased to capture this composition. The photo was taken in the late morning and I had the benefit of some shade so the lighting was not too harsh.
