Amazing Balsamroot and Lupine adorn this rolling hillside in the Columbia Hills near The Dalles on the Washington side of the Columbia River. A few details about this composition - Nikon D800, Nikon 14-24 f/2.8; a blend of four photos - three for the foreground and one for the sky. I had to under-expose the sky to bring out all of the awesome color and details going on there. I focus-stacked the three foreground photos, which were all shot at ISO 800 due to wind, and then combined the sky section to that set. It is a composition of two areas stitched as a panorama - about 1/2 for sky/mid-ground and 1/2 for the foreground, both shot in landscape orientation. I then processed it in PS CC using various layers of level adjustments and curve adjustments.
