Description

Ring-necked parakeets have adapted very well to life in the city, where they feed at bird tables and take fruit from gardens and orchards, also Spring flower buds on trees. On walking through Kensington Gardens in London, I spotted this mating pair in a tree. Though they are now predated by hobbies and peregrine falcons their numbers have increased to around 30,000 and it looks like they are here to stay.
