Description

As a courier I drive around all day and all day on this particular day the fresh snow on the mountains which are just 30 minutes away where calling me...all day. I gave in to temptation after work and drove up to the Bogus Basin ski area, stopping here-and-there on the way. When my vehicle could not go any further due to the deep snow I turned around and started my descent. On the way down I saw two cars pulled over and became curious so I pulled over as well and found a trailhead. With fresh snow and still falling snow I grabbed my snow boots and camera and started on the trail. I started off casually walking the at times steep trail but quickly increased my pace when after observing the light and where I wanted to be to catch the setting sun. No sooner had I started fast walking, I was jogging and when I saw what was going to happen I was full on running in the 6 inch deep snow on a trail I had never been on. I was Running and stopping to capture photos, I captured three dozen photographs. But each time before pressing the shutter button due to the fact that I was huffing-and-puffing I had to control my breathing and hold my breath-timing when to press the shutter, just like firing my weapon in the military. Regardless most of the photos were blurred, this is one of six that were not.
