On this Saturday in September, Animal Adventure was introducing their latest addition, April the giraffe, to the public. April is on the left hand side in this picture. Her buddy Oliver was already out in his exhibit waiting for the doors to open, so the public could get a look at April. April was very, very, shy. The owner/trainer Jordan Patch was trying unsuccessfully to lure April out into the public with carrots, from her barn and shelter area that she sleeps in at night. Jordan asked me to take as many pictures as I can of the two of them. April was very hesitant to come out, finally at one moment, Oliver went up to April and laid against her like he was giving her hug and letting her know it was okay to come visit the public, all her fans were here to see her. After this hug she came out and received a warm welcome and standing ovation. I thought this photo was cute and tender of the two of them. Jordan Patch loves this picture, it is on his Facebook profile picture, and his Animal Adventure profile picture for Facebook as well. He even asked me for permission to use this photo as his Christmas card this year. It is nice to have someone so grateful for your work and picture. I find myself very humble and grateful for this opportunity.
