Brief Directions
Take the road E10 from Kiruna and drive up to 50mins toward Nikkaluokta. The drive will take you alongside the frozen river and lake so you can stop at any point, preferably about 30minutes from Kiruna to be sure you are far enough away from light pollution for good photos.
Notes
In winter temperatures can reach -40degrees so be sure to prepare for harsh conditions. Be wary when driving in the dark of roaming reindeer on the roads too!
