It was a snowy day and I was bored. Winter was almost over and spring hadn’t yet sprung – it was brown and boring. The nature photographer’s doldrums. Oh well, I needed out get out so I figured I’d check out the Magee Marsh Wildlife Area and see if there was anything interesting going on. 45 minutes later I was there – and as I feared, pretty much no action. As I drove through I noticed some geese – better then coming home with an empty memory card, right? I pulled over, shot a couple photos, and just sat there watching. As I put the camera back up to my eye for another snap, another goose decided to break up the fun! The other two were not pleased – but you can see that just by looking at the photo! At any rate, it just goes to show you – the most important part of any kind of nature photography is simply making time to get out and be there – you never know what you’re gonna get!
