Assignment #241: Try Out A Telephoto
Extreme telephoto lenses can be expensive, heavy and unwieldy due to their size, but as Tin Man Lee shared in his "Intro To DSLR Telephotos" feature in our April 2016 issue (available now on newsstands!), their magnified perspective is ideal for getting close to wildlife. Telephoto lenses can also be used as an alternative to wide angles for simplified landscape compositions. For this week’s assignment, we want to see your best landscape, wildlife, sports or travel images taken with long focal lengths of 200mm or higher. Be sure to tell us what lens you used in the Gear section! Submission deadline is April 6.—Kristan Ashworth, Associate Editor
