From Bellingham, Washington, head south on Chukanut Drive, rte 11. Turn left on Cleator Road. Take this dirt road to the end and park. Backtrack along the dirt road about 200 meters to a wooden fence. The trail begins here and heads north. There are many views to the east. There are many side trails and it is easy to wander. Most of the side trails return to the main trail.

Komo Kulshan is the Lummi name for Mt. Baker. This was taken from Larrabee State Park near Bellingham, Washington. This area is great for hiking year-round. There are many view points of mountains to the east, or the San Juan Islands to the west. Mt. Baker is next to the Mt. Baker Ski Area at the end of the Mt. Baker Highway. This is one of the active volcanoes in the North Cascades. The North Cascades National Park lies just to the east.
