A few trees, the remnants of a maritime forest that the shifting shoreline has caused to appear to be growing out of the water at high tide, have amazingly withstood hurricanes and lesser storms. These are located off of Edisto Island in South Carolina. With a cloudless sky I will take a very long exposure, 97 seconds in this case, using neutral density filters to smooth the water. I think the affect fits the pastels of twilight before sunrise and the serenity of the trees. (f22, 97 seconds, 50mm).
