Traveled to Haines, AK specifically to photograph the bald eagle congregation. The eagles congregate to eat the dead and dying salmon after the late spawning run up the Chilcat river. You walk along the river until you see the aggressive bald eagle behavior. Even though there are dead fish everywhere, they prefer to steal another eagle's fish. As you can see in my image, dive bombing is a preferred method to displace a rival from its fish carcass. Even the juvenile eagles have no reservation attacking a full-grown adult.
