The first statewide snow blanketed our state this weekend and provided a clean slate to a drab landscape. I shot this during the snow, as high winds were forecasted as the weather system departed and I didn't want trees to loose snow or debris to scar the pristine conditions. While this scenic area is known for the slot canyon like carved rocks, I found this composition more pleasing given the conditions. Since the location is a little off the beaten path, I figured it would be less likely to have been marred by walker's and dog footprints. Didn't see a soul!
