Boulder Strewn

I made this photograph along one of the many quiet bridle trails found in Hocking State Forest. Gorges and other scenic sandstone features scatter the region, with many lesser-visited ones being located in this preserve. While checking out a new-to-me recess cave, I had to make my way down this steep, boulder-strewn slope. I turned around at the bottom and saw this potential composition. I first photographed it without me, but decided it needed a person to give some scale, so I ran back and forth between the slope and the shutter until I got myself in the right spot.
