Curve in the aspens

It didn't look like there'd be much light for sunrise, but I geared up for predawn anyway and hiked out with my dog. Then it started to hail. The dog ran off; I learned later that she was huddled under the van. The conditions were lovely, though, so I stayed out as the hail fell and until it had mostly melted.
