Description
A field of petrified sand dunes, located near the entrance to the Needles district of Canyonlands NP, show the distinct layers of sedimentation. Tipped on their side by upheavel and folding, the layers of varying thickness and hardness, develope distinct patterns and erosion accentuating their curvatures, made even more distinct by low angle light at the ends of each day.
