Cinder Winter

Only when it rains... during the usual dry winter in the Owens valley this pond is just a puddle (if it's there at all) But this year has been extremely wet and this pond is perfect for photos.
You can already hear the talk around Inyo county. This year has been like the winters of old. Snowstorm after snowstorm keeps hitting the Sierra. As I write this another winter storm is set to add another layer of snow to the mountains. The snow has made travel and even getting groceries tough, but a lot of people are wondering what is going to happen with all of the water we will get from the melting snowpack. Will LA DWP keep all of the extra water? Will the give the water to the ranchers for livestock and crops? Or will they keep it in the valley where it belongs? Yeah, DWP will absolutely keep all of the extra water this year.
