Bugaboo Splendor
Outside of Radium Hot Springs is a turn off that leads you down a series of logging roads that take you to the trailhead. It is a strenuous 3.5-mile hike up to the park.

My climbing buddy and I climbed Pigeon Spire in Bugaboo Provincial Park, in British Columbia, Canada. I debated about bringing my DSLR camera, not wanting to haul the extra weight up the peak. Since I did bring the camera with me, I spent the whole climb looking for that unique perspective to capture the drama of climbing and the rugged beauty of the mountains. When we got to a saddle, I knew immediately that this was the image I wanted. If you look very closely, you can see my climbing buddy in a red jacket on the ridge. I am so glad that I carried the extra weight.
