Raging Cedar Creel
Off I-5 take exit 21 and head east. Cross the Lewis river going south over the local bridge at the signal just east of the freeway. On the other side of the bridge take the left fork. Once headed east the road is called Hayes Rd. After about 4 miles or so the name changes to Cedar Creek. Continue east until you come to Grist Mill Rd. Turn left (there are two big barns on that corner) proceed north on Grist Mill Rd. for about 1/2 mile. The mill is open on weekends.
This mill is great for all seasons because there is snow at times in winter, maple leaves in fall, bright greenery in spring and summer.
This old restored grist mill sits on Cedar Creek, 9 miles east of Woodland. When it rains heavily the narrow gorge is literally engorged with water.
