Taken in Oregon at Fairy Falls this past fall. My vision for this scene was to capture a long exposure of the water flowing over the rocky falls. The smooth water created a flow I wanted to portray, but the splash of fall color just added a dimension that I felt would draw the viewer into the scene. It was raining very hard and the light was starting to fade. We only had large maple leaves to shield our camera gear and minutes to capture the falls before the darkness of the evening set in. Such a magical place and moment.
