Monhegan Island off the coast of Maine is popular destination. It's an artists haven. Locals live here as well but once the season ends, many of the services that come with it slow down. There are lots of trails to hike and some of them haven't seen much use as this one would eventually lead to. Yet I was still fortunate enough to come across this lovely scene. It was close to 10am when I came to this spot but it was still worth shooting, a polarizer helped and the sun was blaring.
