I set out on a mission to find Twin Falls. I has it in my mind what scene I wanted to capture. The monsoon season was in full swing and I was not very knowledgeable about how to navigate a 4 wheel drive vehicle. The road up past the Camp Bird mine was steep and trecherous. My daughter who was 12 at the time kept begging me to turn back but there was no place to turn around. We kept on going until I spotted the twin falls and decided to try and capture them. Well to my surprise, they were framed by these beautiful Columbine , Indian Paintbrush and Milkweed. I had my daughter hold the umbrella while the rain poured and the lightning cracked. We stayed long enough to catch a few frames before the storm got too violent for safety. All in all I think that the day was a success.
