Valley of Fire is one of the best places to find a little bit of everything in a compact area. Cactus and desert flowers bloom in April and May. Other than flowers, there's amazing rock formations and colorations, petroglyphs, and arches.

cactus starting to bloom. morning sunlight on the leaves added a nice contrast to the spines in the sun with those backlit.
